Big son has taken that massive first step onto the property ladder, made possible by the Gov't Help to Buy scheme. A lovely new house built by a small local builder, fully finished with appliances, flooring etc

He has always been very hard working and focused on what he wants to achieve, having not returned to Uni at the end of his placement year because he had a job offer he wanted, he finished his degree in the same time but by Open Uni and got a 1st. At age 23 he now has his first house which I think is quite an achievement these days, Well done N

His estimated completion date was in July but endless delays, one more survey and just another form later he finally got the keys last night and started moving in today. It was all hands to the pump when my brother and his family turned up to join in. N his uncle and baby cousin are seen here just before we called it a day to go for a nice celebratory meal at his new local the Trent Lock at Sawley, Nott'm

Just one snag, broadband is not installed until Tuesday so he can't possibly live there until then so back home tonight. That must be at least the third time he's left home and returned !
