A bit of chaos

Much of cleaning the hidey-holes in the garden is a hands and knees job with me ending up looking like some red-haired harridan with leaves and twigs in my hair, muddy knees and more than one kind soul telling me how cute I look with that smudge by my nose. The garden is still too wet to rake properly and as the worst of the fallen leaves are off the grass I am willing to wait for a drying wind before crawling under bushes and around the rocks.

So while I wait I will simply enjoy the chaos and textures of last summer's greenery as it fades into the bracken of autumn and onto the slumber of winter.
