Peace, Quiet and Tranquility

After yesterday's blip showing the herding behaviour of British commuters at Kings Cross, it was lovely to get up early and go into the countryside (the terrible industrial wastelands of the desolate north). 20 minutes and we were at Wallington Hall, for a lovely walk around the grounds amongst the autumn trees with a display of vibrant colours. We went to the hide and hid. Then watched the wildlife (which did not turn up!).

This picture is at the main gate into the courtyard. It seemed to capture the morning sun shining through the arch and the huge trees. A beautiful place to hold hands and walk (with thanks to the two other National Trust members !)
