This is the number given to the large sunspot in the lower left corner of this photo. Its by far the biggest and impressive one I've seen. Even better is the large number of sunspots accompanying it. I've been tracking the NASA site for a few days having seen there was quite a bit of activity at the moment. Finally I was able to get outside, set up the scope for the couple of hours that the sun currently pokes its head over the hedge. Its been a good week for astro shots....
