Migrating cranes

It was a cold grey day again today … nuff said, which is ok as honorable son n°2 and I have 6 rugby matches to watch - come on England x 2 - rugby union against the Kiwis and Rugby League against France.

I noticed that there were a lot of woodpeckers around today - I saw 6 greater spotted and 4 green woodpeckers - all a little far off for a decent shot, and I like migrating cranes.

That said, migrating cranes usually are a very good sign of what the weather is going to do - seeing them now probably means we are in for a cold winter - let's wait and see …
