Simon

I have been thinking that I do not include enough images of people in thee blips - and I meet some really good people in the course of an average week. I met the subject of today's image - Simon - 38 years ago when we were both undergraduates at the University of Aberdeen. Since then he has gone on to be a stalwart of the community land trust movement and had helped hundreds of people in scores of communities to acquire the land on which they live. Tonight's celebration was with the Galson Estate Trust to mark the installation of the first commercial community wind turbine by the holding company - Galson Energy. (Appropriately, it was a very windy night!) It was a great evening, with food, drink, dancing, and good company.
