Chilly in here..

We met up with friends from Nottingham, down in London.
It was W's birthday and she'd never been to the Ice Bar so after a lovely lunch in Shampers (just off Picadilly) we came back to the hotel to change for the evening, the husbands went off to Wembley for the England v Chile match and we went to the Ice Bar. We were supposed to get there 15 minutes before but arrived bang on 8 (got a bit lost!) but that was good because we didn't have to queue and the guy handing out the ponchos had time to take our photo!
You have to wear the ponchos and gloves because the 'glasses' are actually blocks of ice hollowed out - see insert pic!
You get two drinks included in the price to get in and we chose champagne and strawberry cocktails. Delicious!
We then went into another bar close by and our other halves met up with us when the football finished. Not sure what time we went to bed but I was too tired to do my blip!
I'm writing this in my very comfy hotel bed waiting for hubby to wake up so we can go and get breakfast - I'm 'Hank Marvin'!! ;-)
