Furry leaf

Marlborough daisies live naturally in a harsh, dry environment and need thick leaves to conserve moisture. The leaves also have a thick layer of protective hairs.

This leaf was photographed in my garden, where the plants generally grow well. They have very long tap roots that penetrate deep down through rocky soil, making them hard to transplant.
