Before the birds

Just as proof that I do actually grow them, here is a strawberry budding for adulthood. Sadly it's life will be short because the birds will have it as soon as it is juicy enough. I'm not really sure why I grow them (other than to feed the birds) because am not a big fan of them anyway.

I ventured out of the house twice today - once to get the mail from the mail box and once to take this shot. I should have been at an all day meeting (same as TeeJay) but my hay fever got the better of me. I've always had the odd touch of hay fever, having to take a couple of tablets a year maybe to sort it out. This year I've been worn down by it for just over a fortnight and the novelty has worn off big time! I got up this morning and to be honest just couldn't face sitting in a meeting, even though I knew it was really important. I had cotton will in my head as well as all the usual symptoms. As it is I have literally spent the day either in bed, laid on the sofa or laid in the lazyboy.
