Benign waters

I took this picture at about 11:00pm using a tripod and a long exposure - giving the water an "airbrushed" smoothness.

This water looks benign, but water can and does kill.

We have heard a lot in the last few days about the destruction in the Philippines caused by Typhoon Haiyan. My heart goes out to the people there!
