Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to .....

London I go! :) Red eye flight tomorrow for our annual Bookclub trip to London. My oh my, it's been a quick year but here we are again :) Very much looking forward to going away.

It's been a mixed bag today. Great wee swimming lesson with Grant this morning. For the first time he actually didn't mind having the noodle put on. Off he went on his own bobbing along screaming with delight that he was "swimming" on his own!

Hannah's friend from school came home with us today. She is an only child and loved looking after Grant. Gave me 5 mins respite ;) Hannah, Elle and Ross spent the afternoon colouring in and passing notes to each other! It was great to see Ross joining in with his colouring and writing. Amazing how much he has learnt since starting school in August.

All going well so far then a knock on the door and a request to look after Ethan. His little brother had taken ill and was on his way to hospital with his mummy and daddy. They are keeping him overnight for observation after having a couple of seizures :(

Then I ducked in and out of Children in Need. So humbling to watch. I'm so bloody lucky. Gave my kids an extra kiss and cuddle tonight and said I would see them at breakfast on Monday. Well that set us all off. Monday seems such a long time away. I know I will have a great time in London and I do need time away for my own sanity but I will miss them like crazy.

Anyway sentimental old fool is off to bed. Getting picked up at 5.30 tomorrow morning!!!!

PS check my sensible shoes out!! We walk our socks off so I'm going for comfort this year!! ;)
