Bathurst Velodrome

This is my niece's husband Bruce with Anna and Tom, he got the contract to build an outdoor velodrome here in Bathurst. Tom was very interested as he is a regular cyclist at the Manchester Velodrome. It's been council funded and Bathurst Cycling Club will take over the running of it once it's completed. It's not as steep as indoor velodromes but it's a lot steeper than this photo implies. Bruce is currently the road race champion in Australia in his age group. Next week I'm hoping to get to cycle on the new track once the machinery has been removed from the site, elf n safety and all that!
