Crocus laevigatus
Bursting into bloom as the days shorten which makes it one of my favorites. Under glass the flowers can be quite long lived in the cool weather and it performs equally well in the open garden too although rough weather spoils the flowers.
These were raised from home produced seed. I grow several forms which have hybridised to produce a range of different offspring .... all of them beautiful.
Not so easy to find garden blips at this time of year when I am working so this one is worth double :-)
