Bordering on.....

8am and alls well....with the volvo headed in the general direction of the Omani border for another exciting visa run.

Already the sun was making its way through the patchy cloud making everyything look hazy and surreal! Not the best of mornings for photographs as we travelled through the dune filled landscape towards the first border crossing.

No hassle...no queues, on this sleepy Friday morn. Seemed the whole world had left the planet just to us! Even the guards on duty appeared disinterested in the meagre traffic flow....we never had to open our boot, let down our windows or even share our goodies!

The quickest and easiest crossing and turnaround yet! The sun was in the right position for the return journey...so managed a blip of the UAE border post..(from a distance!!)

They say the seven Emirates making up the UAE have seven different coloured sands making up those seven different Emirates.......I think that could be true....as I peruse this pic!!!

Home now to relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend with 40 more days of legality before the Dubai Hatta road sees our wee Volvo again!!
