New Lanark

Went to visit the World Heritage site of New Lanark today. We only live about 20 miles away and yet we had never been.

It was fascinating and a real blippers paradise. If I'm honest it was such a beautiful day and such an enjoyable visit that I quite rightly concentrated on just taking things in rather than trying to get a great photo.

A half hour walk upstream takes you to the utterly spectacular falls of Clyde.

My photo doesn't really give any flavour of the size of the place or the many and varied buildings. Go see for yourself. It will look amazing in a few weeks when the leaves start to turn.
