Cute and Cuter!

After house-sitting for Fiona while the electrician was sorting a couple of small problems, MaggieD and I nipped down to see Ali, Euan & Eve. While Euan played trains, Eve showed off her new pinafore which helps keep her clean (finger food is great but can be messy!)
As the rain came on early this afternoon, we decided to go to the "flicks". As I quite fancied The Butler and it was opening today in Falkirk, that is what we saw. A very well made film with a multitude of big name stars and it worked, for me at least. Touching on the USA's dealing with the issues of colour and segregation through the eyes of one man and his family, the main character makes his way, by luck and hard work, from a small boy picking cotton in the South to a highly respected butler at the White House from the sixties right up to the election of Barack Obama. Quite a thought provoking and challenging film.
