A defect Dongle

For years I have been blaming my Internet Provider for slow connections and intermitent performance, they are innocent! Just got a new Provider and got the same problems, gone now as there is a physical connection now, not a W.Lan. We tried it on another PC and got the same bad effects. It wasn't a cheap one either, but it is destined for the Bin !
