Gold

The gold glinting in the sunlight caught my eye. As pub signs go, this is very plain and simple. Where did the habit of having pictures on pub signs come from?
I wish I could say this was a lovely country pub but, although I have never been in it, the people that I see standing on the pavement having their fags don't exactly look like genteel country folk! :)
