Gifts of Grace

By grace

Mindful

Mindful that a bright day is a rare gift at this time of year I headed out to Ardarden in search of winter/Christmas trifles (not the pudding, I want to say 'fripperies' but it's the wrong word, treats, perhaps?).

I was not disappointed.  Ardarden never disappoints, 'middle-class heaven' one of my friends calls it.  The beech leaves hanging by a thread, the gardens blackened by the first frosts, the tea-room warm and cosy, the cherry madeira cake to die for.  The sunset shades of peach and marmalade.  Mindful helps.

And fripperies (whatever) galore.  They may be the subject of my blip tomorrow when cold and grey are forecast.  If dolphins could fly, and they surely can, they'd leap for joy over the low winter sun, just like this.  They leap eternally over this spot.

My wish is that all beings may know how blessed we are.
