A light swell!

It's a bit breezy and dark today in Orkney. The sea has a big swell on and most of the ferries aren't sailing.

This is the cliffs at Yesnaby in midafternoon. These are between probably 40 and 60 ft high and the waves and spray are coming right over.

According to the European Marine Energy Centre monitoring the wave and tidal devices around Orkney, the average wave height today is 11.8 metres.

Just a light swell then!!
