A time for everything

Color for a grey day

Tuesday
Rain was in the forecast for much of the day, so we had thought of taking Janet and Andrew to visit the interior of one of the chateaux - Fontainebleau or Vaux-le-Vicomte, but unfortunately when I had checked them out on-line last night, I discovered that Vaux-le-Vicomte had just closed yesterday for the winter, and Fontainebleau was closed on Tuesdays! Andrew had expressed an interest in the Science Museum at La Villette, up in Paris, so that is what we did instead. The rain had started by the time we got there, and it was certainly a miserable, murky wet afternoon. We went to one of the Planetarium shows which was quite interesting, had a sandwich and a drink in the cafeteria and explored the interior exhibits. It would certainly be a great place to take kids with lots of hands-on exhibits, but personally, for myself I was somewhat disappointed. However, I think Andrew enjoyed it, so that was the main thing. So, not much of a blip today, but all I got. It was taken in the Transportation area - the different colors of the car parts caught my eye on such a grey day.
