Trek up to our shack on the hill

Up at 4am to go to the Perhentian Islands. Breakfast had already be laid out so we made peanut butter sandwiches for lunch...free lunch! Luckily Charlie wasn't up at this time, didn't get a leaving hug!! We panicked half way to Kuta Bharu as we tried a ATM and it didn't accept both of our cards so we had no money. We had also be told that there were no ATMs on the islands. When we got to Kuta Bharu we asked if they had any ATMs nearby. It was a 10 minute walk so we missed our boat to go and get money because we couldn't go to the islands with no money. It actually turned out to be 20 minutes instead. We walked past bamboo huts and then came across a bit market which was actually quite cool. We tried the first ATM again it didn't take our card. Some local people pointed us into another direction. When we got there, there was a huge queue of local people waiting. We were very sweaty by this point. Luckily we got money out!! Did our long trek back, getting slightly worried we might not get a free boat and have to pay a fortune for it. Luckily the lady was super nice and got us a boat straight away. She was joking saying that she was the driver. Drove around different parts of different islands dropping people off at resorts. The islands are amazing. Amazing turquoise blue water. Finally got to long beach. We had to switch onto a little boat to take us inshore. We looked funny jumping off the boat with our big bags on. It was super warm walking along the beach trying to find a hostel. The first 2 places said they were full which worried us a bit. We went up the hill and found a cheapish place. We had to wait until 2pm though before we could check into a room. Rather annoying as it was boiling and we wanted to have a shower after travelling. We sat in the hotel bit overlooking the beach for rather a long time until we were able to check in. We had to walk up masses of stairs to our 'shack'. THe room was absolutely boiling which was a bit upsetting after being so warm. We had two beds squished together in the corner and a tiny tiny mirror on the wall with a rubbishy fan. We did have a balcony though. Dumped our bags and got our suncream on and bikinis and headed straight to the beach. So nice being able to lie in the sun again.
For supper we ate at the 'red' restaurant. They have 3 restaurants that look similar but there is a yellow restaurant, blue one and red one. Basically their seats are all different colours. After our local supper we walked past a cool fire show that was going on.
