Zinnia

I was up early to get in on the milking this morning. Watching the motions as Jean and Eric work their magic and finally snapping this shot of the new calf. Jim has started called her Zinnia after Jean recommended the name earlier in the week. Its stuck and it suits. Born in the time of the zinnia's in bloom.

I spent the day mostly trying to catch up on work and errands of sorts around the farm as the sky clouded up and rained on and off in indecision. Vince and I hosted a big farm dinner for everyone in the evening with home made pizzas. Rolled dough, fresh pesto sauce and veggies from the garden, a big salad and a bottle of wine. Just about perfect.
