I COULD BE A BIRD

“What? This is a BIRD feeder? No, I’m quite sure it’s meant for squirrels.”

From nose to tail tip, this guy fit perfectly around the tray of this feeder. The temperature had barely reached freezing at this time of the morning, so I’m sure he thought he’d died and gone to heaven lounging there with the sun warming his back, just nibbling away at the sunflower seeds. I chased him away this time, but I’m sure he’ll be back. After all, I put peanuts out for the squirrels – does he have to have everything?

With the main bird feeder otherwise occupied, the cardinal relocated to the new feeder. It turned out to be a good thing, because it’s the first time he’s visited there, (as seen on Flickr).
