Fabulous Fungi

This is certainly a year for fungi. Over the last couple of years we have had next to nothing on the Forest School site. This year it keeps cropping up in all kinds of strange places, dry, wet, on grass, under trees in the middle of the garden boxes. Any one have any idea why? Perhaps they have grown before and the last couple of years have been poor for fungi or maybe it is because we are allowing the site to become more natural as a woodland setting. Any other explanations would be appreciated.
