Road open!

It seems such a long time since Rangitira Terrace was closed for repairs following rockfall and instability resulting from our earthquakes. Now it is open again, we can see why the repair has taken so long! Stabilising the old quarry face was a challenge, and the road is also very steep.

It's great now it's open again and we can get out onto St Andrews Hill Road again, rather than going the long way around.

I don't like to suggest this normally for people who have lots of great images to look through, but to see the extent of the rock bolting it is worth viewing large.
