Picture this!
You drive down the hill towards Aveton Gifford from Kingsbridge. It's a clear crisp morning and you just know that the view of the Avon River from the bridge will take your breath away. You are not disappointed. You abandon your car at the first available place (the iron/forge works). Leaving the engine running, window open and your bag on the passenger seat, you run back towards the bridge with phone in hand. You stop, you look, you breathe, you take a photo or two (or three) and just enjoy the beauty of the moment. Finally you turn back running back along the road towards your abandoned car. There you find a group of extremely bemused workmen as you apologise profusely and explain how you just had to stop and capture the moment! That was how my day began. Three beautiful things: The first nose tingling crisp frost Milky coffee and a chocolate biscuit A good giggle with a colleague - much needed One thing to be grateful for: I am able to stop and experience moments like today
