The fading light...

It's amazing what a difference a good nights sleep makes. I awoke this morning feeling much better. Although by the time I was halfway to work, I had the beginnings of a headache.

Thankfully it didn't materialise and I spent the majority of the day at a brilliant conference. Normally conferences are a bit meh but this one was interesting, fun and I did a fair bit of good networking. I was on fire!

The conference finished early, so I made my way home and decided to go for a run on my own rather than heading to running club tonight.

When I got out, I decided to make use of the light and do a hill run. Sometimes all you need is a hill. And a deserted hill is always better. It's so liberating running along a deserted trail. I ran 3/4 of the way up Arthur's Seat (pictured) but didn't go all the way up - it was getting dark and I wasn't wearing my trail shoes. I followed it with 3 miles on the road. It was a good run. And we all know that a good run leads to a happy Susan.

Today's run: 5 miles
November running mileage: 29 miles
2013 running mileage: 943 miles
