IMPACT's emergency appeal #Philippines

IMPACT is not an emergency relief organisation but when disaster strikes in an area where we are already working and where we know the community well, it is impossible to stand by and do nothing.

IMPACT Philippines is on the ground distributing survival packs to the poorest people who are struggling to survive without food, shelter and clean water.

We are focussing our efforts in the town of Daanbantayan and the two neighbouring towns at the tip of Cebu Province. About 90% of the houses in these areas were destroyed. Many people lost their lives.

There is now real risk that the death toll will increase further as disease spreads in the aftermath of the disaster. The challenge is to provide potable water, shelter, blankets, food, essential household items and medical care for the many people who have been displaced.
