orchard patchwork

Astro and I are 6am walking as it is already hot by sevenish and we are hopping in the car and driving to the BIG walk rather than a lazy potter up the road.
Today's drive home was through the Bickley Valley which is a seasonal patchwork heaven.
Now it is green and bright and depending on the recent or old plantings very textured. These are primarily stone fruit and vines and it is so lovely to watch the patterns green and brown with the seasons.
Long may they do so.
