Eva met Noah..... Xxx
Generally lately, Eva seems to wake around midnight, or sometimes goes til 2am, then after a quick feed and maybe a teething powder and nappy change, depending how she is, she'll generally sleep through then til morning. There's always the odd exception to this rule, and some nights she will take a while to settle initially, like last night, she took til about 10ish to settle, but then slept til 2 then til gone 8.30 this morning. When she woke, it was lovely to just spend an hour or so with her in bed with me after her milk feed, just cuddling, singing songs to her and playing Peepo with the quilt.
The highlight of the day, without shadow of a doubt, was the visit from Leah and her beautiful 14 month old little boy, Noah. I'd only seen Noah once, very briefly, when Leah met me and Mike to take some photos of me with my baby bump before I had Eva, and she'd never met Eva, so today was a great day, and I had been very much looking forward to it!! I was bowled over with Noah, such a gorgeous little boy. He wanted to cuddle Eva all the time and is so clever. He can 'baby sign' things like milk, more, drink, food, please, gone... I've been wanting to start doing baby signing with Eva, so it was great to get some tips from Leah, I was amazed by how good Noah was at it, and he has such a cute little voice when he was saying some of the words. I just wanted to munch him all up. Jake came home from school just as Leah was taking some photos of Eva, and is just a natural with babies, he really is. He was helping to get Eva to look and helping to occupy Noah while his Mommy was taking the pics. Leah and I could have carried on chatting all day I reckon, but unfortunately she did have to leave after a couple of hours as Noah needed a nap.
Today's pics were actually taken tomorrow, and I am doing today's blip a day late, as the pics we took today were too blurred. (We went to visit Leah and Noah today as explains in tomorrow's blip post) sounds confusing but it's not really lol.
My dad came round after Leah and Noah had gone, as when he came yesterday, Eva had been asleep. Eva was all smiles for him and he loved seeing her. He also gave me a mini history lesson on Stalin and Hitler. I always wondered how evil monsters like them ever got into power and had such a following, so he explained how Hitler especially came to be and filled me in on some of the horrors of Stalin's regime. Unbelievable.
Jake was obviously also very impressed with Noah's baby signing today, and really took onboard what Leah had said about repetitiveness, so while I was preparing dinner (fajitas) he spent about half an hour with Eva and her cup of water saying and signing over and over "drink drink drink" lol.
Now call this coincidence, but after dinner, I was taking Eva up for her bath, milk and bed while Mike cleared away from dinner, and for ages I've been saying "kiss" when I kiss Eva or someone leans in to kiss her, and waving when I say "bye bye" or "night night". Well, tonight, her Daddy kissed her goodnight and waved "night night" and Eva waved back (so cute), but on top of that, after her bath, when she was all dried and ready for bed in her babygrow, as we were walking out of her bedroom to go into our room, I put her pink bunny back in her cot and said "kiss bunny, night night bunny" and Eva only waved again, and said "bah" as she was waving, which sounded pretty much like "bye". I could not believe it! Xxx
