The birthday girl

My lovely mum was 89 today. Here she is in all her glory! I feel blessed that she is still with us, a formidable matriarch of our extended family and well known resident of Bannockburn. She taught several generations of Primary 7s at St. Mary's in the village, so is often stopped in the street by former pupils many of whom are now over 60 but still remember her! She was a great role model for me, combining as she did raising a family of four and having a career at a time when many women had to choose one or the other. Happy birthday Mum! Love you x
