What a day of contrasts. When I arrived at the loch this morning it was very windy and wet with most of the birds riding out the turbulence on the loch. Even the wee tufted ducks were driven closer to the shingle so I was thrilled to blip one before he dived and disappeared. Within minutes all was calm and the sun made a brief appearance. This is not a monochrome blip although it may look like it (I spy a wee orange eye!) - there was just no colour, the water being the same colour as the sky.
