Afternoon shadows

It has been another day of sunshine and showers, much milder than it was at the weekend. I rather liked the shadows cast by the late afternoon sun on the lounge wall.

With D#1 away up to Aberdeen to visit friends I've had the day to myself, so have caught up with mundane things like laundry and housework, got round to reading the weekend papers/doing the crosswords and have now got a beef casserole cooking nice and slowly in the oven.

As more information filters through of the utter devastation caused by the typhoon in The Philippines, I feel very thankful for everything I've got...
