Nature's Colours

I took a run out today to a local loch to see the birds - arrived just as the rain started to lash down and the sun disappeared but a short wait was rewarded and the sun reappeared.
I never cease to wonder at the array of colours we are treated to in our birds and the iridescent sheen on the head of Mallard drakes is one of my favourites.
