Veterans day

A day off work to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Well not strictly a "legit" holiday in the eyes of my boss/lab but a ucsd holiday nonetheless.

Spent the day running errands, swatting up for my sales interview, going to the gym and walking the dog on numerous occasions.

On one such walk around the park we came upon this modest memorial for 9/11 and all those who have died in the fight against terrorism. Nicely maintained by local people. They also have a small garden for flowers and vegetables in one corner that has never been vandalized. Which is uncommon in these times
