Armistice
Today is veterans day. A day that means a lot to me. a day that I would like to thank all the armed forces around the world fighting for our freedom, you do something that most people including myself would say are scared to do, but you face it boldly and proudly and that is why they are America's finest. My grandfather on my moms side, for whom my middle name is named after, was an airforce man. I only knew him when I was a young child before he passed from alzhemiers and parkinsons. he still had a huge impact on my life, in my room I keep a portrait of him and his squad along with a bronze star he earned while in the service, I look at it everyday and hope that one day I can earn something that I could say is my bronze star, something of which I can be truly proud. it's the reason I work as hard as I do, Im always working closer towards that bronze star. Anyway, on to today, classes were easy and I didn't screw anything up this time. was able to relax a little tonite which felt good. today's pic relates to veterans day, granted I did it twelve hours too late I gave a moment of silence for all the servicemen around the world as I heard that bell ring eleven times that I had always heard when I used to do the parades followed by a twenty one gun salute, because on the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month is the moment I give to all the world's armed forces.
Song of the Day: Come Fly With Me by Frank Sinatra
Fun Fact: this is my grandpa's song, as an airforce man and a lover of Sinatra I felt like it fit just right.
