Remembering John V. Chapin

We stopped by the South Yamhill Cemetery today outside of McMinnville. I wanted a shot of a veteran's grave on Veteran's Day, and this one won out. We were a little dismayed that at this old cemetery, no caretakers or even families place flags on the graves of veterans on Veteran's Day. We found out that this is the site of the 3rd oldest church site west of the Mississippi, and there were many old graves. I don't know who John V. Chapin was, but he served in the army in World War I. Here are the other veterans we found:
