Boys

Their infectious energy - gotta love that and actually even envy it! These two about 10 and 8 were "blipping" fast when every light gave to a walk signal - me behind them trying to catch the energy!

And on this Veteran's Day they are a reminder of how quickly young boys become very young men, who go to war, who don't come home or come home with damage to their body and mind, and that young girls now join the young boys and become young women who don't come home or come home with damage to their body and mind.

There is not a thing that has not been said about this endless cycle; I know only to offer my lament to the losses, my prayer for the ones left behind, and my hope that one day we may grow more wise. But I doubt we will.
