Why is it dark so early?

Emergency blip of artificial flowers at the foot of the stairs.

Busy day continuing with the mountain of washing etc and a trip to do the food shopping. I’d planned to go in past the pond to see my geese (not mine really) but normally good blipping material, but by 4pm it was damp, almost dark and the geese had cleared off :0(
