Winter is coming, we may have skipped autumn

"Winter is coming" there's a phrase you'll hear plenty of in the northern hemisphere said with nods towards Game of Thrones.
I said a few days ago, after scrambling for a blip, that maybe things weren't that photographically interesting day to day and actually I realised that's more down to taking time than anything else. It doesn't take much to look around Kendal and find an interesting shot, there are some great views just a small walk away.

Take this little path just a couple of minutes walk from our house and the leaves have finally started falling, just a couple of days before we walked here and they were still on the trees. Sadly the picture doesn't do justice to the great view of the hills in the background through the trees as well as the foreground of the shedding leaves.

Ignore the old man lingering on the edge of shot as well, just my dad who joined us for the walk.
