Deconstructing public art and science
I reckon there must be a (sub ?) discipline that goes by this name. I love all the outdoor art we get these days. This sculpture of a termite mound was a way to engage the public in science. I think it worked really well, it was busy and there were scientists from the team that had been in Africa investigating termites that talked to people visiting it explaining it all, they were really enthusiastic and conveyed it all in a really engaging way.
Anyway it was short term thing and here it is being taken down.
Blipped it the other day too.
It was part of the Pestival.
