Day 11 DDW's November Challenge: Silver

This small statue is of the bodhisattva of compassion. In Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism she (or he) is generally known by her Sanskrit name, Avalokiteśvara. In East Asian Buddhism, she is known by her Chinese name, Guanyin, short for Guanshiyin, meaning "Observing the Sounds (or Cries) of the World". In Taoism she is considered an Immortal and known as Chenrezig.
