Veteran Angels

Did the final wreath laying duty this morning in Perth city Centre at the Garden of Remembrance. Not such a nice day as yesterday but I was distracted by the presence of these bikers who have 'Veterans ride with Pride' across the back of their jackets and turn out to be an official (if new) part of the RBLS. There are now 750 of them and I'm told it provides a bit of a substitute for the constant adrenalin rush that wartime soldiering delivers and which makes it hard to adjust to peacetime. It also fairly changes the image of the British Legion!!

The bearded chap on the left was a very quietly spoken fellow who had lost a leg in Afghanistan.
