The Railway Institute at Melton Constable
Melton Constable was the "Crewe of North Norfolk" where the M&GN established its workshops.
There was a school, a pub and the Railway Institute where railway workers could entertain and improve themselves. There was a big tradition of railway workers studying on all the Edwardian railways, something that was encouraged by the Companies and the Unions.
