The fragility of life

We have stunning colour in our garden from a japanese flowering cherry - prunus incisa 'kojo-no-mai'. I understand that for the japanese the cherry tree represents beauty and the fragility of life. Particularly appropriate today, as I heard that an uncle (one of my Mum's brothers) has died.
