Sands of Time

Its a terrible truth that even at the relatively young age of 32, Roger Federer is not as good as he was. But he is still playing beautiful tennis. At the ATP Finals yesterday I was able to work out what it is that makes him look so graceful: he trails his balancing arm completely extended which makes a perfect composition. Here he is losing to Nadal in the semi-final.

Do you think it is better to retire when you are at the top, or keep going even though you are past your brilliant best, because you love playing tennis so much? Both of those options seem equally honourable to me.

So keep going Roger - do what you have to do!
