Still Life

We've been harvesting persimmons lately. It's a beautiful round-topped tree, and all the fruit is way up high and very hard to pick, even with the long-handled pruner. I love it when a little bit of branch is left on the fruit. It makes me think of a Japanese tea pot with an intricate lid.
