Remembrance Sunday

A packed church for our Remembrance Sunday service this morning. A beautiful sunny autumn day made it somehow more poignant.
An elderly neighbour took us out to lunch at a restaurant called after this tree - it has had plenty of walnuts this year apparently. The leaves are turning yellow before they drop, but not golden, red or russet!
Managed an hour or two of sewing (my roman blind, fingers crossed) and soon it was time for the last episode of Downton. Last episode ? There are so many loose ends to be tied up!
