Shadow Giants
“October extinguished itself in a rush of howling winds and driving rain and November arrived, cold as frozen iron, with hard frosts every morning and icy drafts that bit at exposed hands and faces.”
― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Well, today was the complete antithesis of J.K Rowling's description of a November day. We woke to bright blue skies broken by white fluffy clouds. From our kitchen window it looked more like a summer day. However, stepping outside we soon realised the need for jeans, wooly jumpers and warm jackets.
The South Downs were absolutely glorious as can be seen from the long shadows and harsh light. I converted most of my photos today to black and white but thought this one worked ok as colour.
